March 28 Moving A Message Can Be A Tipping Point

Who is moving your message besides you?

Businesses of all sizes might hope to achieve success by moving through several tipping points. Think of a balancing scale where you add weights until the scale moves into balance. All the work up to the scale moves can seem tiring and monotonous.

Building up to and through a tipping point is not required. But to achieve a high level of success we might have to look for them and search them out. The book, "The Tipping Point" is a good one.

That desired future level of success might be just where the people of the company, the value proposition, and message movers have gotten aligned. If any of the three are out of alignment the tipping point might not happen. Who are the message movers of your team's value?

Those are the people that believe in a company's values and services enough to share it with others. Who are your message movers for your company? Are employee's message movers or what about your customers?

I am not sure that you must be one of these two classifications in every team or organization. There could be others in your value proposition. Another good question is who is not being a good message mover. What keeps someone on your team from moving the message?

Could it be attitude, confidence, or training? If the message is not being moved, then a tipping point is possible with that one individual. Tipping is important for each of us, but it can demand our focus. If you have one tipping area identified, what can you do about it this week?

The Christian faith has been built and shared throughout history by message movers. In Luke, we are told about Jesus sending his twelve disciples out to share his message and to heal the sick. I think those twelve disciples would certainly qualify as message movers.

When Jesus sent them out that was a tipping point in my opinion. The message was still his message, but he authorized others to move it. As believers and followers of the faith, we too are called to be messages movers. How well are you doing in moving the message?

It is a challenge to live life as a Christian. Many of us can get tied up in the challenges of living beyond ourselves in a worldly viewpoint. To live according to the example of Christ is part of our challenge though. We are to be sharing our journey by our voice and by our example.

What can you do this week to be a message mover? Could there be a better week to consider doing it than this? For me, I think it is a good week to pray for guidance, courage, and strength to be a better message mover. What is the first thing you can do about being a better message mover in the next seven days?

Let us pray, Jesus, you gave us miracles, signs, and wonderful words to live by. But you asked for us to move your message as well. Help us as we move between the message and the living. May you help us to combine our efforts but to be distinct as well.

Help us to share the words that might be able to be moved by the Holy Spirit. Let our words be heard. Empower us to share the words and let you do the moving. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen,
