February 15. If It Is As Simple As One, Two, Three, Then What Is One?

When hiring we might think, "Would we sing to them"?
In business, does a wait staff clapping and singing say to you thank you, we appreciate you, and we want you back? Or is it the smiles, the cheers and sincerity of the action? What is it that you do as leader to fully express that you appreciate your customers and team? You appreciate them, but they need to know it. Perhaps we might share that if they need to be redeemed for some reason that we are ready to do it? Maybe we can share our thanks, sincerity, and our birthday wishes for our team members by celebrating for three days instead of one. What will you do for your team this year and will it be the same as in the past? Will you shout Happy Birthday? Will it be a surprise party that gets thrown for someone's work anniversary? There might be a banner or some decorations that might be displayed. The most valuable of all assets to a family or team or organization is the people. The main reason to come is to a party is to show that you care. It is not about the presents. It is about showing them that if they ever needed to be redeemed, that you would. Think about a team member that could not collaborate or participate with you unless you redeemed them somehow. What would you willingly do to redeem them which would express how important they are to you? How might you share with your team in the next seven days?
I remember in the Bible many verses about God requesting the first of everything. The first and best of the grains at harvest, the first of those born to the flock or herd, and the first born of the family. If you had a first-born son, you were to dedicate the son to God, but you did not sacrifice them on the altar, you redeemed them. You made an offering to God to purchase them back. A great example to follow is that God loves us so much, that he sent a gift for us. It is a gift wrapped around a cross, then it was put in storage, until it was brought out three days later. I like that I will be redeemed when I pass away because I know that Christ was resurrected, redeemed and I claim him as Savior. Perhaps we might think about birthdays that way. That we can let others know that we would redeem them if they ever needed it. That until God redeems them, being in relationship with others makes it our responsibility to one another to share in our lives, to celebrate it and to share Christ. What is the first thing that you can do about it in the next seven days?
Let us pray, Heavenly Father, you have recognized that each one of us are worthy of your love. Every birthday is a gift of life. Every life is worth redeeming so you have sent a gift for all of us. Embolden us to share that message, and to celebrate it, especially on birthdays. In the name of Jesus, we pray. Amen
